Deli Opening at ROSEMONT MARKET & BAKERY

Rosemont Market & Bakery is looking for someone join our team FULL-TIME in the deli department!

Rosemont Market & Bakery is an award-winning, independently owned business unlike any other. We are dedicated to cultivating community through local food – with our 6 stores, Home Delivery service and brand-new Mothership central production/warehouse facility, we are focused on connecting our community with the very best local foods that Maine has to offer.

Position Details:

Rosemont’s Deli staff work hands-on with the finest meats, fish, cheeses, charcuterie, olives and other accoutrements available in the state. In this position you will:

- Serve customers by connecting them to both our products and our community mission.
- Sell our incredible local meats and fish selection.
- Work with fine deli meats and cheeses, both local and imported.
- Prepare delicious breakfast and lunch items.
- Create and maintain meat, fish, and cheese displays.
- Collaborate with co-workers on daily stocking and packing projects.
- Work together with store management on following standard operating procedures, including opening/closing, store upkeep, and other projects as assigned.
- Train to work other stations in the store such as cashier and produce.

The current opening is for a FULL-TIME deli position at our Flagship location @ 580 Brighton ave in Portland.

Applicant Musts:

-Prior experience in a food service and/or retail business
-Knowledge of or interest in meat, fish, cheese, and other specialty items
-Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
-Strong customer service and communication skills
-Ability to accept constructive feedback
-Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
-Ability to stand for the majority of shift
-A positive attitude and an interest in connecting community to amazing local food!
